Re: Potholes in Doonside Crescent, Blacktown

Aim of Petition:

Residents in support of this petition would like the road (Doonside Cres, Blacktown) repaired and an ongoing maintenance plan to be achieved.The area of concern lies between number 31 to 61 Doonside Cres.

Background:

This petition is regarding the potholes in our street. After numerous requests to council, the problem of potholes has not gone away. This petition is to gain support for the repair and ongoing maintenance of poor condition of Doonside Crescent, Blacktown

There are numerous potholes on this road, which residents have to avoid daily. We end up driving on the wrong side of the road to avoid damage to our vehicles from these large and unavoidable potholes. This is clearly dangerous, unlawful and inconvenient.

Our street is filled with Villa/Townhouse developments, with each lot having 8 Villas or more. Therefore, we consider this road as servicing medium-high density developments and it should be upgraded to be able to cope with the load and vehicle movements per day.

If our road is not repaired as a matter of priority, we will take this matter with NSW Fair Trading.
