Having lived and worked on Alderney for 6 years and loved every minute of it, I have to say that the unpredictability and cost of travel was a major factor for us leaving the Island as we wanted to maintain proper links with family and friends. Wishing Alderney all the best for 2025. “Cair Vie “

Unless the runway is improved soon the island's vital hospitality business will fall into decline.

This is absolutely essential, and the economy of the island is insufficient to do this work on its own.

If the work needs doing it should be done for the Alderney and Guernsey people and the visitors.

We really need to get our runway repaired to a safe usable standard ,before it is left to get even worse .We are oart of the Baliwick of Guernsey and we should be treated as such . We pay our taxes to Guernsey, but unfortunately we don't seem to get any respect from a number of Guernsey states members. Maybe if someone dosnt listen to our vital needs we should take it to the King.

I am a frequent flyer with Aurigny. We don't need a big fancy runway or big aeroplanes. Just a safe runway. Loss of life due to incompetence could be extremely costly to the bailiwick if this runway is not urgently prioritised.

As a pilot who has had occasion to fly into Alderney I am horrified to think that the local government would consider allowing the forced closure of Alderney's airport.
