Alderney airport is vital for the residents especially for critical healthcare needs ..
It is also important to us as a family visiting relatives on the island. There is no other way to get there from the mainland
Alderney will not survive without the air services ..
The runway needs to be fixed as soon as possible.

Having lived on the island for a short period myself, I would strongly agree that the Alderney runway should be available at all times.

A 2nd cross wind tarmac runway would prevent a lot of flights being delayed or cancelled.

If this work isn't done immediately, Alderney could be completely cut off.
Guernsey promised resurfacing and widening over 5 years ago and nothing has been done.

This is a case of averting a tragedy of epic proportions. We can do without a swanky new terminal, but a safe, fit for purpose runway is essential .

States Of Guernsey sort this out, you have an obligation to look after the residents of Alderney. Also consider a new ferry in your deal with Brittany Ferries
