Air travel is not a 'nice to have' service for Alderney. If the boats are out of service, air travel is the only way off the island. If flights to and from the island are prevented because the runway is unsafe it will severely affect their economy, critical health emergencies and well-being. You cannot leave the people of Alderney without this lifeline!

I believe that the other larger islands ie Jersey & Guernsey seem to forget that Alderney is part of the Channel Islands group. They should work collectively to have this repaired as a priority as its a safety concern
