Reopening this supermarket would be a great benefit for the locals, I live on Coalville Road and drive past this building daily, if only I could my bread and milk etc there! And the little things like an icecream, after school treat for the kids. Hope it gets reopened.

Having a small supermarket close by would be fantastic, not only for those who don't drive but also for people like me who may want to stay in their pyjamas and cant be bothered getting dressed just to drive down into town for a few basic needs. I can send my kids around to the corner store instead.

I support anyone opening a business in the Moe Community and believe that if Wakkers re-open with the passion they have shown in their plight to do so, they will have a supermarket to be reckoned with. Look out multi nationals, locals cannot be competed with on service and passion for their community.

It would be fantastic to be able to walk around the corner for milk or bread when you desperately need it rather than having to drive down the street all the time!

Jim, I just contacted the Latrobe City Council re this, was advised that they only received 7 submissions in all, 2 were negative due to the Liquor aspect. Leah Pollard advised she would accept late favourable submissions so long as asap, via email to Latrobe City. There is also a planning day on the 15 September that anyone interested can attend to voice their interest, but must apply to attend. Not sure if you knew of this. I have submitted an email to her re our favourable interest.

Thanks Elizabeth, we have had only three objections. Only one of which has any legitimacy. The comments of support for the re-opening are very important for our upcoming panel hearing.
