My husband and I have a small child. Our incomes haven't changed much but a the rate that rent is increasing, the only prices for rent in Ontario would have us pay close to 50%+ of our income on rent alone. Its absolutely outrageous!

I cant find affordable rent anywhere. Im just moving from friend to friend. Im paying for storage. I so want my own place and have my things around me. Im angry that rent has gone so hight that I cant even live in my own home. Thank heavens for my friends or I'd be living in the the streets. Im a 61 year old living on a pension.

The rental prices here in Ontario (& Canada wide) are unaffordable! Even for a two income hard working both Full time ppl can barely find anywhere to rent! The “living wage is a joke & The Real estate market Here in Ontario is ridiculous.. you have part of the population that seems to be able to just throw money @ buying a home often offering $30,000+ above asking price this needs to be put to a stop. It’s making it even harder to be able to live & thrive here In Canada

We need to fix the rent problem by either limiting rent amounts or by increasing minimum wage. Something needs to be done.

As a single senior, not sure where I can live once I retire. My rent keeps going up every year, they also find other ways to get more money to live like parking. Where do I go?

Rents are rediculous now a days, it's very hard for a single parent to rent a decent to nice place for our kids to live in anymore.

We are renting a house with 3 bedrooms and 7 residents, son, son-in-law daughter, 2grandsons, hubby and me. the extras have been looking for over a year for a place of there owe. Either rent too high or landlord wants your life history. Sometimes people have had to decide about having a roof over their heads or food on the table. No one should have to exist like that.

I agree. We have been looking and even working 50 + hours a week we still cannot afford any homes for rent or sale. Prices are rediculous.

I agree if rent needs to be this high then banks or any loans should allow the opportunity to buy. Honestly if I am having to pay 1800 to 2000 for rent then why cant I get a loan to buy. Lower rent and cap it stop the greed !!
