I saw the performance by the 20th anniversary tour cast and their voices were absolutely spectacular. I was dissapointed to find that no more recent recordings had been done of any of the casts so I fully encourage this petition to get a recording of this cast done.
This cast is so insanely talented, I've seen the show 14 times and every single show has had a standing ovation!!! It needs to be recorded so we have a way to remember such an amazing production!!
This adaptation of rent is amazingly performed by a very talented cast and has amazing numbers throughout. You can see how hard they worked on characterisation and would definitely be helpful for any young performers for inspiration.
Philippa Stefani is one of the best Mimi's I've ever heard and seen. She is a massive inspiration to aspiring performers as are many other members of this cast. It'd be such a shame if it wasn't recorded in some form.
This cast is truly out of this world - better than any production of Rent I've seen before, including the movie. A cast recording would be a fabulous memento and immortalisation of all their stunning talents.
So Billy Callum has posted his best moments of 2017 on Instagram and it includes two shots of a Rent recording session but still no CD?!?

We definitely need a new recording of this great musical. The original Broadway cast album is brilliant, but we need to bring a fresh recorded version to a new generation of RENT fans.
