Jim McCloskey's so called "comics" are extremely offensive to all they concern. Although by United States law newspapers are granted the freedom of the press this is only true so long as the printings are found to be true, and unoffensive. However in this instance we say that the printings are found to be untrue, offensive, and slanderous. Many in the local area, teens and adults alike, are greatly offended by the remark made in the comic, titled 'Vigil'  on the day of Wednesday April 21, 2010 particularly, and feel that the comic is an attack on the emotions and the liberty of many citizens of staunton and the surrounding area. Being so it also fails to allow our pursuit of happiness promised in the declaration of independence under the means that being an already emotionally hard time, we feel this is completely unnessesary, extremely innappropriate, extremely offensive, slanderous, decietful and that it is punishable by law. We ask that Jim McCloskey's position at the staunton virginia daily news record be filled by someone more suitable for the job.

Total trash. How does the paper even let him print this stuff? Fire him.

Enough is enough. This guy has been pushing his luck for way to long. Staunton deserves better than this garbage in our local paper.
