Why is the Florida Parole Commission keeping in inmates that have been sentenced before 1983 I'll tell you why- to keep their jobs!! High paid jobs that are paid by the state- your tax money! There is already an overpopulation in Florida prisons which is also costing millions of dollars. The Governor has granted a work release program to help clear out the prisons. What about the inmates who have served well over 25 years for their crimes How much are they costing the state I believe justice has been served for their crimes. Most of them are sick and old (60+ years old) and are no threat to society. They can barely take care of their withering bodies, nevermind poise a threat to someone else. Imagine what they cost the state in health care. The Parole Commission denies any release to an inmate regardless of how obedient their time served has been. Shouldn't they get rewarded for being a model prisoner These are human beings with families that love them and are willing to not only take care of them but to guarantee that the inmate will live the rest of their life as law abiding citizens. We need to make the governor aware that the Parole Commission's duties are no longer required. Please sign this petition as well as write and call in yourself. Let's save money as well as give Americans another chance at life.
