Egerton Ryerson believed that women shouldn’t have the right to education and that their role was as mothers and wives. As students going to this university, we shouldn’t have someone on a pedestal that stands for such beliefs. Egerton was also a key in creating residential schools. This monument is disgusting and should be removed immediately.
