I would like to thank everyone for their support, Unfortunately we have gotten additional info on this case.
Originally I was told that this group follows the letter of the law. I assumed (wrong on my part) that they had permits and the like.
Unfortunately because they hold their signs and banners and do not affix them to any structure they do not require a permit.
But their actions are protected under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
We are encouraged to inform the police if they do slip up and break the law, like obstructing traffic etc.

I have spent the last few days talking with local officials to understand why these graphic displays are permitted near our schools. It is painful to realize how limited our options are when these groups exploit legal loopholes to bypass standard regulations. I am still digging into the bylaws to find any path forward for the sake of our neighborhood kids.

Seeing this level of support gives me real hope that we can find a way to protect our kids from these images even if the legal hurdles are tougher than I first thought. I am digging into the local bylaws now and will keep fighting to ensure these banners do not remain a permanent fixture in our neighborhood.

Ridiculous that people think this is okay. Keep it to yourselves.
Absolutely disgusting. There is a time and place for everything and in front of children is not it.

My kids see these walking home from school. Its traumatizing for them and totally unnecessary. Kids shouldnt have to be exposed to that when they are just trying to get home.
