Remove registered sex offender from Coyle Volunteer Fire Department and change requirements to apply as a volunteer
We are asking the community to support our mission to remove Donald Eugene Curtis, a registered sex offender, from the Coyle Volunteer Fire Department.
We are also asking the town council to include no registered sex offenders to the application process.
As of the last town council meeting, held March 13, 2018, the town council has taken the position that they are going to allow a registered sex offender to remain on the fire department.
We feel that this is not the position of the community at large and are seeking signatures from concerned citizens within the town of Coyle, the school district and the fire district.

This is not acceptable. People really need to re-evaluate their morals in this town.
This is so shocking that this has been allowed!
This is wrong in so many ways
The safety of our children should come before "good ol boy" perks.
The safety of our community and children should be above country boy politics.
No children should be around him

I feel even as a volunteer he at any point could be alone with someone rather a child or woman and something bad could happen with no witnesses or anything. Just doesn’t seem safe to me at all.
