I am requesting that the constant COVID information that is displayed on the freeway dynamic message boards be removed. I am one among many who are saying this messaging is now ineffectual at best and divisive at worst. The "one size fits all" approach to get vaccinated totally disregards many different personal circumstances such as those who have medical contraindications for not being vaccinated and those recovered from COVID who have natural immunity. To disregard these valid positions with constant general messaging is simply out of step with science and disregarding of individual persons. The repeated proclamations of “GET VACCINATED” in this regard are insulting and counterproductive. I request these messages be removed immediately.

I am an average joe in Arizona, married with 4 kids, I work at a school, and I am fed up with the constant propaganda that is helping no one at this point. It is pointless, divisive and un-scientific to suggest that get vaccinated is a universal solution to COVID. Please join me in getting this nonsense taken down.

Shouldn't be causing panic or distraction with this crap on the road. Stick to informing us of the highway and transportation. Don't jump jurisdiction into the medical field, ADOT is not qualified to given medical advise. Especially on a Traffic Sign.
Freeway signs should be for freeway information or color alerts. NOT pushing medical advice. Especially advice that has harmed many people I know- including a death post jab. And two Dr,s have advised me against getting the vaccine. So… no.
Sick and tired of seeing that crap on the sign then running into construction closures that they should have warned us about instead. ADOT isn’t in the healthcare business last I checked, so they should stay in their lane. Pun intended.
Our highway signs used to be fun and creative. It became a source of state pride for me, as silly as that may sound. It was even a source of conversation among people. Now I don't pay much attention to the highway signs.
Pushing a medical procedure on the freeway is not the place to do it. That is for a patient and doctor to discuss. Promoting a product has nothing to do with traffic or information regarding ones daily commute. Take it down

I am writing to you about the highway roadsigns that are intended to announce hazards, construction, detours, road closures, accidents, etc. The messages, such as, "Want to return to normal? Get vaccinated” should be removed immediately. It is not the place or priority of the Department of Transportation to influence health behaviors. Your stated mission paraphrased is to provide safe and easy movement of people and goods from place to place." These condescending messages distract drivers, cause & raise anxiety levels, & are therefore hazards. As a taxpayer, I demand that these roadsigns be limited to road hazards & true emergencies only.

This is nothing short of ridiculous. I’m tried of seeing these falsely informed signs as we drive. The vaccine doesn’t PREVENT the virus, so why are we lying?? Let’s use the ADOT signs for actual important information regarding Arizona traffic and roads.
