Whether you are a working parent or not, it's a struggle to juggle school holidays, inset days, and parents' events, not to mention the class assembly's.
Grange Park Primary School conducts Come Learn with Me events every term for all years. It's unfair for parents of multiple children who sometimes have the sessions taking place at the same time.
These events are always during working hours, and it puts additional pressure on parents who don’t want to let their child or children down.
Come Learn with Me events add no value to the parents, the teachers, or the children. They cause disruption to the school day, inconvenience parents, and cause unnecessary distress to the children whose parents are unable to attend.
We believe that CLWM is not a good use of the teachers' and parents' time and would like to see it removed from the school's schedule.

I completely agree. Not to mention all the children I've witnessed crying when their parents aren't able to come, or when they have managed to come and it is time to leave.
Not all parents can make it and it’s very heartbreaking to see the children in bits due to some parents having multiple children or a school trip could be on that day
Its difficult to free up the time to do this and fraught with the risk of disappointment and upset if you are unable to do so.
