This is a petition to remove Bob Parks from his position as a city councilman in Kennewick Wa. His obvious resentment towards Hispanics in our community disqualifies him as fair and impartial community leader. His Facebook post clearly shows this. I would ask that people stand in solidarity by signing this petition, and use our power as a community to rid our local government of this bigotry. He doesn't represent the great people of this city and it's time to let it be known.

I have spent the last few days compiling the recent Facebook posts into a briefing document for a formal complaint with the ethics board. The local news outlets have begun asking for copies of this documentation so I am prioritizing those requests now.

We need to hit the one hundred signature threshold before I submit this document to the city clerk office. Meeting this target ensures our formal complaint carries the necessary weight during the upcoming council session.

Bob Parks is not fit to hold any public office. His racism has been established by his own public comments and the city of Kennewick is tainted by his presence. His comments after his recent notoriety only serve to illustrate his lack of maturity.
City councilmen should represent the city as a whole and as a unit. This post clearly devides the city. Causing an uproar in the Hispanic community. These kind of actions are what lead to escalated violence which could have been avoided.
We need a councilman who is fair, equal and unbiased. We need someone who understands the people in our communities regardless of their race, national origin or creed. This is why I ask that Bob Parks be removed from his councilman position from the city of Kennewick.
This type of comment is unacceptable coming from anyone, but especially from an elected official. You are elected to represent the people. The people of Kennewick are good people. There is no room for bigoted and racist remarks here.
His personal opinion is his own...I get that but when you hold a position in public office these kinds of comments are unnecessary and he does not speak for everyone. This is very upsetting as a Born in the US American. Who by the way is Mexican American.
The council must vote the removal.
This representation of the people of Kennewick is an embarrassment to the city of Kennewick and to the whole state of Washington

City council is the most influential government in our daily lives. Kennewick is where we live. If we have a council member who is prejudice against half of our cities residence he is not going to be an effective member of council. Bob Parks should resign!!!
