Blue Coat, while useful in some ways, has seemingly caused more problems than it has protected against. It's on these computers to simply get in the way, and stop students from accessing possibly useful links. Like take for example, I currently cant access Google. You know, the search engine.
Seeing the growing momentum behind this request confirms that these technical restrictions are impacting far more students than I initially realized. This collective recognition of the problem is a significant step toward a more functional learning environment for everyone.

How ironic is it that bluecoat is supposed to block things that could get in the way of me working, but now I cant work at all because of it?

While Bluecoat does block sites that can distract students from doing there work... it also causes issues accessing necessary sources for actually doing work. And it doesn't matter people will find ways to bypass bluecoat if they care enough so why continue having it when it only causes more issues than solves them.

Blue coat has block sites that are needed for homework and sometimes blue coat doesn't work so you can't do anything, this is especially troubling since ALL of my homework is online.

Bluecoat blocks sites and intertwines with the browser settings and sometimes some websites get misplaced into the blocked websites, and the wifi usually has an affect on it as well, there is probably no point in bluecoat, yes it might get rid of bad websites but soon enough no one will want to get off task cause then they won't get the grade they want, just doing whatever they want
