Removal of taxi rank and illegal traders

Really feels unsafe driving through here

Remove them. Tired of all the crime!!

This stretch of road has become incredibly hazerdous! People randomly cross the busy road, often dashing across to avoid missing their taxi, sometimes just nearly missing being hit by a vehicle. I have been cut off numerous times by taxis that just pull out out infront of cars without any regard, and cut across from the far left (yellow line) to the right turning lane. They then make dangerous U-turns at the busy intersection, putting everyone at risk! They follow their own set of rules! The vendors have also become a serious issue. I was waiting, with my children in my car, in the queue towards the R27 intersection, when two women (one was selling her goods on the roadside, in this particular area) started fighting, on the pavement right next to us. They were screaming and swearing at eachother, when the one woman started stabbing motions at the other with what looked like a pen and inflicted a bleeding wound to the woman's upper arm. She responded with pepper spray to get her away. Moments later the injured woman picked up large rocks and started throwing them at the other woman. All this right next to us and others waiting in the 2-lanes of traffic which had nowhere to go, as the traffic lights were red. My children were traumatised after having witnessed this ordeal and now request that I use another route. This cannot carry on and must be sorted out. A safer alternative has to be created.

This taxi rank is a menace, it encourages brings filth and antisocial behaviour such as public urinating and drug use.

This is putting the lives of our people and community at risk and in danger.

Remove from area. Brings up crime and decrease property value. This is Cape Town not Durban

These taxis & illegal traders are slowly but surely turning our area into a slum, their removal is way overdue!

I have witnessed urinating publicly along the walls, fighting, drug abuse and handing of drugs, filth and litter, noise, stabbing a while ago where the person died, robbery and hinderence to traffic passing by (ie: risk of accidents and people getting knocked over).

It is brining down the value of the area

If nothing is done the place will decay

Getting out of control, people walk across the road without looking , in front of cars. Taxis pull out with out any indication, people standing urinating against the wall. People all over pedestrian walk way selling their wares collected from rubbish bin days on Wednesday and Friday Dustbin days, leaving nowhere for real pedestrians to walk. Becoming so congested there around 15:00 in the afternoon, have to travel alternative routes in afternoon to avoid the circus.

It is becoming uncontrollable with abuse and profanities , drunkenness and litter No longer feel safe around this area

This is extremely concerning and due to what is going on we have all sorts of dangerous people that has moved into our area.

This should've never been allowed to happen.

Get rid of them!!

The hawking and the taxis cause chaos. We also want the tent camps to be removed.
