To attend online classes we are being forced to pay fees for services such as Library and Sports fees. That is impunity in it's purest form. The JKUAT student body stands against this and we ask for your support by signing this petition. For where two or more comrades gather; the power of unity shall be felt!
I really never thought this would gain this much steam but look at us go now. It feels like people are finally starting to pay attention to these ridiculous fees because it really is just so unfair that we are paying for things we cannot even use.

The 5% fee reduction is completely outrageous. How can library and sports fees be included and yet we are not in the premises ????

This is unacceptable!! Our parents are already struggling as it is to even cater for online classes. They are also getting salary cuts. While some private universities are giving upto 30% discounts... this administration is giving us a 5% discount while including charges that aren't even aplicable. This is outrageous.

Charging of unused service is horrible exploitation by Jkuat cartels, even with their knowledge of how students are surviving hand-to-mouth during this pandemic period. This is null and void.

Paying for services we will not get access to via online learning is against the rights of Comrades considering the fact that our parents are not in jobs where will the money come from?

I believe it's very unfair paying for the unused and unnecessary expenses considering parents have lost jobs the economy has gone down and most are really struggling. We have to help each other get through this and it's a time when very considerate decisions should be made

Online classes don't require the library, sports, accommodation and some other services that won't be required during that period.
In my opinion, the 5% discount doesn't make any difference to the full fees.
Kindly, increase the discount, this way we won't have to complain as the fees will be reasonable and affordable.
Thanks.
