We the Undersigned support the UWA Student Guild's opposition to the Student Services and Ammenities Fee. Many students work part time, live in regional areas, or study away from their main campus. They don’t get the same benefits out of the fee that other students do. The fee hits struggling students the hardest, whilst bringing most benefit to those students who are well off. Students should be able to decide where their money goes. If the revenue is being spent on services we won’t use, we shouldn’t be made to pay for them. The Guild exists to lobby the University on behalf of students. For many Student Associations, this will become much more difficult with the SSAF in place, as Universities now control their major revenue stream. For these reasons, we call on the Government to take action to oppose this Fee. Sincerely, The Undersigned
