These books do not belong in the childrens section of the library. Shame on those librarians for doing this.

Rather telling that the large majority of hateful and bullying comments on this petition are from those supporting this grooming of this age group..appears that they want to influence these young children to decide what gender they are when they can't even decide yet whether they want a peanut butter or grilled cheese sandwich for lunch. The book they should introduce to this library section and maybe have drag queens read is Tammy Bruce's 'The Death of Right and Wrong', which exposed, from the inside, this indoctrination agenda clear back in 2004. To paraphrase that famous philosophical musical group, Pink Floyd, "Hey, librarians, leave those kids alone!" Let them be kids and let parents decide..

To be clear, I support the HPL and its policies to keep the library diverse. I mistakingly thought I needed to sign the doc before making a comment. Please know that if my name appears, it was purely by mistake These books on the list are not “disgusting” (as I’ve read some comments), they are beautiful stories that may show a different perspective than yours, but remember- you don’t HAVE to check them out and read them, although I wish you would. I support HPL!

I’m curious how your kids will make an “informed decision” without being informed? Kids will be kids, and some kids won’t be hetero-normative. Will you teach them to hate themselves and others? Who would Jesus hate? Suggesting that we burn books is a MAJOR red flag folks.

Teach your kids to hate, not discuss. Burn books. Judge thy neighbor. Thank you for your help.

Ezekiel 12:7-8 If it’s not white, it’s not right. If it’s a bit gay, it sure ain’t OK

This is not something that should be shoved in children's faces before they're old enough to even make informed decisions.

Since you asked, Drag queens are not strippers. Gender identity is not salacious or inherently sexual. The only people turning gender into a fetish or a conversation about sex acts, are you people. The only people grooming or indoctrinating your children are yourselves. Everyone else is just trying to exist as they are. Get your minds out of the gutter, you bunch of freaks. This petition has been denied by the library several times, and it’s about to be denied again. Stop fetishizing people who want nothing to do with you or your hateful ideology. Ban the bigots so we can live in peace.

This is so sad. Aren’t we all flesh and blood human beings? What happened to ‘love thy neighbor’ or whatever the Bible states. You can’t cherry pick what you want to believe. I hope your hearts becomes less cold and hard, and you can learn to love and accept everyone for who they are, including the children who are questioning their identities, because the world is a confusing place but ultimately beautiful when we can proudly be exactly who we are.
