I used to live in Leadville and I worked for climax mine and I have enjoyed seeing the cross lit and now i hear that they want to shut it off, say it isn't so, why? Well i say relight that cross for all to see.

I love this cross and what it stands for. I worked at the Climax mine for close to two years and that cross is what I looked forward to each Christmas.

I honestly don't understand what the problem is all of a sudden after this cross has been up for 90 years and NOW they want it off did some one rattle their cage ?or did they want revenge on someone? so many questions run through my head and all i can think of is the down right shame of the corporate entity to turn off the cross. What are they thinking ,what or who could have possibly made them do such a thing after all these years, why now? Please have a heart and relight the cross.
