I lived at Climax until I graduated from high school and worked there to put my daughters through college. I am not religious, but I want the cross to be lit anyway.

How can the cross offend people? Some people are just not happy with anything, they cry about this and that but when it really matters the shinning light of the cross is a sign in the blinding storms of the winter night that you are ok and almost home!!! Please, please I'm down on blended knees!!!! Re-light the cross for the light to shine through the storm!!!1

This is a part of Colorado history and our mining heritage... our fathers and our grand father's toiled and labored to make our lives better and this cross spread it message of hope love and piece every Holiday season. It is a valuable and historic remembrance that I feel should be kept for our grand children.

I still remember the cross when climax was a city and all the apartments that are now called Eagles nest were there in climax and there was a department store called Laytons and there were family's living there and the men in that town worked for climax mine, my father just passed away and he worked for climax for 18 years. Please relight the cross.
