I'm so disappointed in our high school. I think the charges should be dropped and move on. It was probably at best messy and annoying, but not enough to leave three students ready to embark on life's journey with court dates, extensive fines, and a record. Please drop the charges....it's not worth hurting them over a senior prank.

After 13 years of hard work, give the out-going seniors a break! Pranks are common throughout the world for students, and should be treated as such...! In one overseas country, the seniors have Senior Sneak Week, where they take off on a trip, as a group, for a funfilled week at the beach...not condoned by the school, but accepted. Let's take a few steps back here, and let these kids have a little harmless fun as their high school years come to a close.

I honestly think it's b.s. that these kids are getting jail time. Truthfully I wish I would have thought of that my senior year, it's a harmless prank and I am sure it was all in good fun.

Of all the stupid things to take a kid to jail for. A waste of tax payers time and money . Let the kids be this is the most harmless joke they could do. It is the end of the year. Let them be.

Drop the charges because it is stupid to have them go to jail for a dumb senior prank which happened to be a water balloon fight. It's messed up and that school is so stupid they can't take jokes anyway! No wonder why people drop out of that school!

All of this seems absurd. Sure the kids should be punished, but jail time is just cruel. For reasons being "causing disruption in a school environment" sounds like they're looking for a reason. If it hit another kid instead of a principal I'm sure this wouldn't be that big of an issue.

It could of been fists, knives, guns. Instead of removing bullets we have kids removing wet clothes. Water balloon fight sounds more like fun then loosing a child.

I agree that what they did was wrong, however I don't believe that it was a criminal offense. I think they should be punished justly and not with jail time.

Harmless senior pranks (this is the last week of school, that's what it's for!) got 3 students jail time? This is ridiculous, whatever teacher reported them should be ashamed of themselves.

What a crime to the adults, principals, teachers, security guard for not coming up with a peaceful or Creative discipline solution. They should be charged for not doing there job & having the police department do it for them! When you give creative discipline consequences it is way more memorable & a learning lesson then criminal charges.

Give them detention or iss. It was water balloons! They should take note of sawyer and the great sense of humor their principal has. They did more of a prank and nothing came of it. It was harmless!! Jail time is outrageous for this!! How bout you focus on the bullying and the actual problems the school has.
