Making this a criminal matter is completely unjustified. It's kids being kids. Just silly bringing the police into this when the school has the ability to take care of this on their own.

Down right obsurd. As an alumni of this school, I think the faculty who's opinions played the ultimate role in decision need to reconsider. Yes, it could cause safety problems, but I the end it did not, and no one got hurt. This should be weighed up heavily. You've done enough to strike fear into these kids. No crime this small is worth punishing a kid who has done nothing wrong.
