As an active tax paying member of society I can't believe we are wasting our resources on such petty issues. Why don't we save our police offers and judges time by dismissing this case. Let the kids parents handle the disciplinary actions.

It absolutely blows my mind that the administration would want to send the students off into the real world with a criminal record for some so minor. Senior year should be some of the best times as a youth!! They could be doing a lot worse like heroin, meth, etc!

Charging teenagers with disorderly conduct over a few water balloons is beyond ridiculous. It was a waste of law enforcement' time and it is laughable to consider this worthy of criminal charge. This school should be embarrassed for their actions.

I think that jail time is a little harsh for this stunt. They should have to clean up the cafeteria and apologize to whomever they upset. If there was some other disorderly conduct then some community service would be sufficient, but not jail time.

I understand the administration's need for keeping order and giving the student's reprimadation in order to do so, however I believe they went too far; make these boys clean up after grad or serve detention, don't give them a tarnished record right out of high school.

Shame on MPS for their ridiculous reaction to a couple KIDS simply trying to have fun! I fear for my soon to be 9th grader, that one day her reputation could be completely ruined by doing something silly like this! It's a sad world we live in!

Free the kids for gaining a charge that will stick with them, for simply having fun. Focus on your major issues.
