That will indicate very clearly that your government is serious of implementing the LLRC recommendations. Implementation of these recommendations is generally considered as the fist step towards solving the Tamil national problem. We know that as an opposition leader you were in the forefront of the campaign to release political prisoners after the rebellion in 88/89. We expect the sympathy you showed to the (mostly Sinhala) prisoners then will also be shown to the (mostly Tamil) prisoners today. Movement for the release of political prisoners
