Jaffna District organiser of the "Movement for Peoples Struggle" Comrade Lalith Kumar Weeraraju and Comrade Kuhan Maruganandan (Activist of MPS) were abducted in Jaffna on 9th December 2011. These two were unlawfully arrested and detained by the Sri Lankan government security forces. The reason for the abduction was primarily because they have been in the forefront of the struggle to hold the state accountable for the tens of thousands of people who have been abducted and the political prisoners who continue to languish in detention camps.

In these circumstances we appeal to all those who cherish democratic freedom and who wish to bring lasting peace and reconciliation to join and support our campaign for release Lalith and Kuhan and safeguard their lives. Please show your support by signing this petition.
