On March 20, 2017, Relax Massage Skincare will be in a Public Hearing that will determine whether it will receive a Conditional Use Permit (CUP). Without it, they cannot operate beyond January 20, 2018. This new requirement is newly introduced by the City of San Gabriel, which applies to all massage establishments in the city.

Relax Massage Skincare first opened for business on December 7, 2013. At that time, it met all requirements and received approval from the City of San Gabriel to operate. Even then, the City of San Gabriel does not consider that an existing establishment should have the right to continue to operate. Relax Massage Skincare has 4+ years left on their lease and the City of San Gabriel does not put that in considerations.

Relax Massage Skincare is rated 1st in Yelp for Best Massage in San Gabriel. It is rated 2nd for Best Skin Care in San Gabriel in Yelp. It has over 300 reviews for a 4.0 average out of 5. It was once listed 3rd in a Yelp article Eight Places to Unplugged, Unwind and Chill Out. It is rated 4.9 out of 5 in Facebook and rated 4.7 out of 5 stars in Google.

In this petition, we demand the City of San Gabriel to issue the CUP to Relax Massage Skincare, an existing massage establishment and allow them to continue to operate.
