My name is Laura Hanks and I am the owner of Main Street Nails in downtown Farmington! I am meeting with the City of Farmington's planning committee on Tuesday, May 9th to try and get an approval from the city to expand my one room nail salon to a full salon/day spa all within this amazing historical brick home at 400 Main Street! Main Street Day Spa would include not only nails but also a couple hair stations, massage, facials, waxing, etc. In signing this position you are supporting the efforts to try and make this expansion a reality and that you really believe the City of Farmington would benefit from having this business here! I have been busy preparing my presentation for the planning committee to show how much this space means to our community. The encouragement I see here reminds me why I fought so hard to keep my business in this historic home. My focus remains on proving that our downtown deserves a place where neighbors can rest and recharge.

Seeing this community rally behind my dream for the brick house on Main Street has been overwhelming. Knowing that so many neighbors believe in this vision for a local spa gives me so much confidence heading into my meeting with the planning committee.

It would be awesome to have some spa services in Farmington. It would be even more exciting for this historic property to be used for it.
I have been a client of Laura Hanks for five years, driving from Lakeville to Eagan and Farmington to use her excellent services. She has a great work ethic, high attention to quality, is customer focused and has an entrepreneurial mindset. Her envisioned salon would be a great asset to Farmington!
I would love for this business to be able to expand their services to me. The owner is fantastic, and a huge asset to the community.
I would love these services to be available to me... south metro doesn't have many Day spas to choice from. I hope we can add these unique services to our community.
I think it would be a great add to the town and is in a beautiful home. It would be a comfortable environment.

I think this is a WONDERFUL idea & would be a very beautiful destination for a relaxing spa day! Not to mention I would love to support locally & women owned businesses!
