Dual Enrollement is an opportunity for highschoolers to advance while getting college credits in highschool and is one of the single most important eduactional needs for those who can advance and not stay at the level that commoncore wants to keep all at.

Teachers complain enough that they can't teach properly under skinnies- it will only get worse if all classes are taught this way.

With test scores as high as they have been, i see no true value in swapping the schedule. I have been here for four years, and can say that the ways things are is working.

The school was doing well under the old schedule, the new change is ultimately an obstructive distraction to learning. Your IB program was reviewed this year and it wasn't stellar, modifying the schedule in this way does not help your case with the IB Organization.

This will completely erase all of the hard work towards dual enrollment and early graduation and will eliminate these opportunities for future Cavaliers. This may work for other high schools, but I admire the school for the way it is running now. Students graduate with so many opportunities given to them and the schedule set as of now has made that possible. Every student and teacher that I have spoken to is fighting against this. Not only will it take these opportunities but it will make some classes shorter which will take away from learning time and will not allow us to get the full education we need. Please allow the teachers and students to be heard; this is not a good idea.

Seven periods will be entirely too much work in one day. Students will not do their homework and nothing will be accomplished in class. By the second semester students will be tired of the same classes all year.

CHS is known for its plentiful opportunities and our schedule is what makes it all possible. Please don't take opportunities away from the kids who work so hard to do so. The 7 period schedule will be more trouble than it's worth and will reap little to no benefits compared to the one we have now. Students will not be able to fulfill their CTE and higher level class agendas, in turn changing their entire college schedule.

These kids are already stressed, most are diagnosed with anxiety because of high schools pressure, so why add more? If you want higher scores, let these kids go at their own pace. Not everyone can handle 7 classes per day.

This is absolutely not necessary. Why focus on things that uproot entire education plans when you could be focusing on less trivial things like providing a covered area for students to be out of the elements when waiting to be picked up. That is the most absurd flaw of this school right now unless you change the schedule.

I did the block schedule. I loved it. Doing this new schedule will take away all the many opportunities CHS teachers, administrators, and students have worked so hard for. Taking these opportunities away will deeply effect all the students who have all their classes planned out so they can graduate. NOT. a good idea. Why are you doing this J Boyd?
