GPUH is currently circulating a petition “urging both the Upper Hutt City Council and the Wellington Regional Council to actively promote the immediate restoration of an 24/7 hourly Airport Bus Service, servicing the Upper Hutt Valley Region, providing an opportunity for picking up passengers from Upper Hutt Station to Silverstream, Stokes Valley, Taita, Wingate, Nae Nae, Hutt Hospital, onto the Motorway through the Wellington City Precinct, Wellington Hospital and then onto the Wellington Airport. We are asking for this Service to commence immediately.”

The momentum behind this push is undeniable and it proves that the Upper Hutt City Council cannot continue to ignore our basic transit needs. They think we are content with being cut off from the airport but this surge of support shows exactly how wrong they are.

This service through to Wellington Hosp and the airport is vital. Wellington Hosp is losing car parking spaces to the new paediatric wing and the more public transport the better.
This was a fabulous service for Upper Hutt, really helping out of town friends and family to visit with no fuss. The loss of the airport flyer has caused a lot of headaches and meant that travel times have greatly increased. I would be very grateful to see it reinstated.
With train services having more and more problems I think the Flyer would make such a difference to people going to the Airport.
Please reinstate the airport bus!
Please reinstate the airport bus.
Would dearly love to see the service reinstated. Even the higher bus fee involved is many times cheaper than using a shuttle service to the Airport.
Much more convenient than having to drive to the airport to pick up visitors, Having another option to get to the hospitals would be handy too.

Yes, please bring back the Airport flyer service to Upper Hutt. Its oftn such a pain having to change buses at Lower Hutt & the bus doesnt connect with the train at Waterloo either. Feel like Upper Hutt is the poor cousin & missing out on a lot of the facilities and services of other areas.
