As some of you may have heard, Ron McCoy is set to potentially be permanently replaced as the Director of the Housing Choice Voucher Program (formerly known as Section 8).
Under Ron's leadership, he has focused on improving customer service, creating educational and vocational programs for DCHA families, and advocated for higher fair market rents to landlords.
If you would like to petition the board to have Ron remain in his position, I'd ask for you to not only sign this petition, but also forward this to anyone else who feels that merits, performance and a track record should be the deciding qualification for this position.
The deadline for signing is this coming Friday (tomorrow). Thank you in advance.

Please retain Mr. McCoy as Director. He has done excellently, made tremendous changes beneficial to both Landlords and clients. The office runs smooth now, we don't have to run there every day, queuing, fighting for what can be easily resolved. He simplified and made the process smoother and better. Please retain him!!!
my experience is that the agency works well. if mr. mccoy is replaced and it does not work as well, i will be less likely to offer properties to dcha. it is a choice, after all, as many tenants do not have credit histories, but i choose to be a housing provider to dcha and to the city as a social service.
Ron McCoy is the best thing that could ever happen to DC HCVP. Under his leadership integrity, customer service, accountability, professionalism and most of all trust worthiness was restored to that department that he directed. Mr McCoy should be put back in office immediately so as not to jeopardize years of hard work.
Ron has been a critical pillar for the success of the DC HCVP and has help the program become a model MTW agency for the city and recognized around the country.
I saw Ron work his way up the ranks, and feel that no one, no one is better qualified to provide the leadership to Housing as Ron is!

Mr. McCoy is a very dedicated person who care about the people, it was very disturbing to hear that he was no longer employed by the Housing Authority, please as a disabled senior reinstate Mr. McCoy, we need more people like him working for people like me. Thank you and may GOD bless you to do the right thing
