It makes sense to have capital punishment not just for repeated murder but also corruption and fraud. These crimes observably affect the greater good. Instead of rewarding criminals it's better to compensate victims financially as money is directly related to life quality. Heinous crime, corruption, fraud/theft are affecting South Africa's progress more than anything and the justice system contributes to this negatively.
