We need to get the Death Penalty back.
That will be the only deterrend for criminals.

I agree that the death penalty should be reinstated. Criminals/ murderers get away, sit in jail, have a good time and the familiss are suffering.

SUBJECT: Petition for the Reinstatement of the Death Penalty for Heinous Crimes
We, the undersigned citizens of South Africa, do hereby submit this petition to Parliament, expressing our profound grief, anger, and loss of safety following the recent brutal murder of the Monswamy family.
We believe the current criminal justice system is failing to provide adequate justice for victims of the most heinous crimes.
Specifically, we hold that:
For crimes of extreme brutality, imprisonment does not provide sufficient justice or address the irreparable harm caused to victims and their families.
We believe it is fundamentally unjust for the state to provide taxpayer-funded shelter, food, education, and medical care to individuals who have committed mass murder and other heinous acts of violence.
We believe that the current sentencing regime has failed to act as a sufficient deterrent to violent criminals and that the reinstatement of capital punishment is necessary to restore the authority of the law and protect our communities.
The frequency and severity of recent crimes have created an environment of fear that the current system is not equipped to manage, and we urge the government to align its policy with the urgent demands of the people it represents.
Our Request:
We humbly pray that the Honourable Parliament will:
1. Initiate a formal, transparent, and urgent parliamentary debate on the reinstatement of the death penalty for specific categories of heinous crimes.
2. Review existing sentencing legislation to ensure that the punishment for extreme violence is commensurate with the gravity of the crimes committed.
3. Prioritize the safety and rights of victims over the rights of convicted
