Please sign this petition to reinstate John Etheridge to the position of Captain for the Jubilee Sailing Trust. The following letter and the signatures will be forwarded to the Chairman of the Committee.
Dear Sir,
I am writing to you in your capacity as the Chairman of the Committee to hear and accept Captain John Etheridge's appeal against his summary dismissal from the Jubilee Sailing Trust.
As supporters of the Trust, we were extremely shocked and upset to learn of this dismissal. I would like to add my voice to the chorus of many others, and request that you reconsider and reverse this decision.
As volunteers and supporters who have dedicated many hours to the Trust and also working alongside John Etheridge, we feel that he is an important and valuable member of the JST team. He has inspired thousands of customers and volunteers a like during his long service with the Trust. We feel that he should not be dismissed from the Trust, he has admitted his own shortcomings and should be supported to make amends.
Please reinstate Captain John.

Undoubtably some of most enjoyable sailing under his captaincy. It's always good to have your work appreciated and he always made a point of acknowledging your efforts and thanking.
I have known and Sailed with John in various capacities since 1991, and have found him to be a thoroughly reliable and competent professional
THEY NEED HIM BACK ASAP. BEST CAPTAIN I EVER HAD!
Ridiculous decision. I sailed with him back in 2012 and he was nothing but professional and kind to everyone on board. Massive mistake by the board.
John is the heart of the ship honestly. Never met someone so dedicated to the crew and the voyage. Just bring him back already.
Bring him back, he's such an inspiration

John should be reinstated immediately as captain. Over the years this man has taught me to believe in myself, pushed me to achieve more and given me the opportunities that many others haven't. I can't wait for the day I'm back sailing under his command.
