Gymnastics has been part of Stewartville Community since 1970's. These athletes grow confidence, strength, flexibility, athleticism, friendship, and a foundation of development that these individuals utilize for life. PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION to show your support in keeping gymnastics part of our community.
We just hit 500 signatures and the school board can no longer ignore this. They thought they could kill this program quietly but now they have to look at the massive damage they are causing to our community.

My daughter in Chatfield is involved with gymnastics and it would be great if she could continue this locally without having to go to Rochester through private clubs/gym memberships.

I grew up in the gymnastics program at Stewartville. It helps many girls and boys to find them self and to have something they can be passionate about. Many students need this time away from home to do something that keeps them physically and mentally healthy.

I am a 2021 graduate from Chatfield who competed with Stewartville for my high school gymnastics career. I came from a bad environment in my old gym, and this program honestly saved me. I know it will continue to impact the lives of those who join.

There are so many consequential benefits to team athletics. Critical skills not learned in normal academics. Things like overcoming fears, setting and attaining goals, camaraderie, healthy competition, pushing yourself beyond your known limits. Please reinstate this program.

Cutting the gymnastics program will have far reaching impact beyond Stewartville district. There is already limited opportunity and access to gymnastics, and my daughter comes from a different district that has benefited from the Stewartville gymnastics community ed program. Please reinstate both the community ed and high school gymnastics programs.

We need to keep gymnastics. It is a different athletic arena and should be honored and respected like other sports we continue to pour money in. Look for creative solutions rather than cut whole program.

Schoolboard, it's time to revisit the long-term outcome for your students, which sadly, should never be on the line in the first place. Continually analyzed research shows student involvement in extracurricular school activities offers a distinct advantage in terms of academic achievement. Reinstate the Girls Gymnastics program, your students, as well as the district, benefit from the programming.
