Schoolboard, it's time to revisit the long-term outcome for your students, which sadly, should never be on the line in the first place. Continually analyzed research shows student involvement in extracurricular school activities offers a distinct advantage in terms of academic achievement. Reinstate the Girls Gymnastics program, your students, as well as the district, benefit from the programming.

My girls participated in the youth gymnastics through community ed, and although they don't complete on a team, I hate to see the program go.

My daughter in Chatfield is involved with gymnastics and it would be great if she could continue this locally without having to go to Rochester through private clubs/gym memberships.

I raised my kids in Stewartville and my daughter was in gymnastics there. I cannot believe this program was discontinued. This is an embarrassment for Stewartville. This board should be ashamed and should not be voted back in.

This situation upsets me. Part of the job of the school board is to listen to the community on subjects such as these, basing their decisions of voices heard at the meetings. Poor showing of the people who hold seats.

Was a gymnast for years! Is a great sport that helped many develop a number of skills that are very useful in the long run!!

Gymnastics is such a wonderful sport. It teaches more than most if you ask me. Please keep this opportunity available for your student athletes. It’ll be worth it.
