We the parents, athletes and community members of Hayward High School are requesting the immediate reinstatement of Hayward High’s football Coach Justin Redemer effective immediately. He was in properly removed as the head coach due to a juvenile incident involving non-student threatening the coach and the team. We feel this decision was made too harsh and in an unfair manner. The team has been forced to forfeit a game and there are five games left in their season. This is especially unfair to senior players who have been coached by him. No reason or explanation has been provided to the athletes or parents by the principal. We are also asking for a meeting with the principal as soon as possible to discuss the rationalization for this decision.

The lack of transparency from the administration is unacceptable. We are organizing a formal meeting to demand answers for the team.

Let’s keep Hayward high momentum going ! As a coach for soccer at Hayward high I know what it means to invest your life in it bring him back mistakes are mistakes but a life changer that is irreplaceable!
Redemer is the reason why so many kids make it out of Hayward high. Whether it’s with a full ride scholarship or simply motivating them to maintain good grades to graduate. To take him away from those students would be a huge mistake.
I first met him in earlier this year. I was on the Alumni Weekend Committee. He was at a couple of meeting. He and his boys volunteered to help with the events. They worked so well together. I spoke with him about being the coach. He said couldn't be a happier. Frank Tingley '65
The manner in which he (The Principal) went about the matter to save his image is wrong. He didn’t even support the student athletes who stood up for their coach & is still blaming his own Football coach & players. There is no FARMER PRIDE there. Reinstate Coach
Coach Redemer has been the coach whos brought dignity and respect back to the football program. I've seen several boys turn their lives around and move on to great things under his mentorship. His leaving will be not only depremental to the program, but the entire culture of Hayward High.
Coach Redemer is a great teacher, coach, and role model! We need him to continue to lead our football team!

I understand the need to distance the school from potential liability, however, the coach is entitled to due process. A thorough investigation should have been performed before his termination. Please correct this grievous error.
