Since the closure of the police station on Fulham Road in June 2016 the level of crime in the Fulham/ Parsons Green has noticeably increased. In particular, there has been an increase in residential burglary and mugging including using a motor cycle. During a recent burglary the police were called whilst the crime was being committed and it took them 25 minutes to arrive at the scene by which time the criminals had left. The police officers said they had had to come from Chiswick, hence the delay. It is not acceptable that there is no local police station to properly respond to crime in a more timely fashion. Local residents feel highly vulnerable at present and high profile incidents in Parsons Green recently including the tube bombing and the triple stabbing at the tube station have only increased the anxiety of local residents. The police need to restore a proper presence to the area.
I never thought this would gain so much traction when I started typing it out on my laptop during that stressful week at the station. It feels like people are finally seeing how dangerous the response times have become (which is frankly just scary for all of us) and that energy is honestly fueling me to keep pushing forward.

Living here for 12 years and never felt this exposed. Had two break ins on my street in one month. Bring back our local officers.

Too much crime lately. Chiswick is way too far away for help when we need it now!

We suffered over the weekend due to the lack of a station in Fulham/ Parsons Green area so this couldn’t be closer to my heart right now!

I have been living in Parsons Green for nearly 9 years now, I never had problem with theft or anything. Since the police station has been closed, my husband scooter has been stolen, mine was also stolen if it were not for my neighbours who stopped them. Both my children bicycles have been stolen and I don't count the number of times my car has been "visited".... When you add to that the murder of a young boy recently because he was trying to ask drug dealers to deal somewhere else... Parsons Green used to be a secure neighbourhood... used to... not anymore. We need our police station back.

My family definitely do not feel as safe as they did before the closure of the Fulham Police Station. I have teenagers and worry even more now about them coming back at night.
