We feel that Mandy was wrongfully fired from the hospital. She was not aware that being fired was even a possibility nor was she made aware of the extent of her "warnings". She was told that she had 2 events happen in 30 days which led to her being fired. She was never told this was a protocol by management or given a chance to voice her side of the story. The charge nurse in charge at the time of the most recent even was not questioned. No investigation was done. In either of these two incidences, there were no staff members that were formally interviewed to describe what had happened at the time of these incidences. The coordinators used other nurse's names but those nurses were not made aware of this.

One of the coordinators told Mandy that the event could cause her to be terminated, while the other coordinator told her the event would not lead up to her being fired and not to worry about it. These type of events, involving issues with call time and the schedule, have occurred with other nurses before but the other nurses had not been reprimanded in any way. For whatever reason, even the littlest of issues especially in dealing with call time and the schedule, Mandy was constantly harassed.

Mandy is great at what she does. She is there for her patients and has never received any complaints from them. She gets her work done and is a team player. When you go to work and she is there you know it will be a great day. She is a competent nurse who has always gave 100% while at work and does not deserve to be fired from her job. We feel that she was wrongfully terminated. The decision was made without allowing Mandy or any other staff members to voice their side of the story. These issues could be resolved, we are all human, we all make mistakes. Mandy is an excellent nurse and should not have been fired.

Last rotation Mandy and I had some seriously Ill patients and ran a code. I got to work with a great nurse and it was the most controlled atmosphere in the code, as well as, all other rapid responses. I would run a code with Mandy as the lead RN any day of the week. I think she is straight forward and caring. Work isn’t the same without her.

I love working with Mandy. She is a team player. She comes to work with a positive attitude. She stands up for what is right and tries to make SMH a better place to work. I believe her was termination was unjust!

Mandy is a GREAT nurse. I always look forward to shifts that we work together. I may not have all the facts, but it is my opinion that this termination is unjust.

I do not work with Mandy and am not aware of another side but Mandys, however when Mandy is at work she is always upbeat and hardworking from what I see. I feel from what I was made aware of her termination is completely unfair and I would hope that this situation could be looked into further.
