We strongly support the charter school applications of New Orleans East Charter Academies, Inc. (NOECA) We have publicly endorsed and chosen NOECA to be the governing body for Sarah Towles Reed Elementary, Middle, and High Schools.  We ask the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education to acknowledge our endorsement from the community and approve these charter school applications.

Sarah T Reed will be the only open enrollment K-12 public school in the New Orleans East community. Sarah T Reed's RSD charter application has been approved and endorsed by the local community and has had community and parent support throughout the application process. Sarah T. Reed's K-12 mission is to offer a high quality education in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) that provides career opportunities and produces globally competitive graduates. Sarah T Reed is led by the NOECA advisory board. NOECA includes a diverse work experience from representatives of school/higher education, corporate and community. The Board has expertise in management, finance, legal, and fundraising and community relations. In order to make the decisions in the best interest of all students and their families, the board members serve as an active team that devotes time and resources to achieving NOECA performance objectives.
