Ballybofey and Stranorlor Chamber of Commerce working with the wider Donegal business community are demanding a 25% reduction in commercial rates. Following the recent introduction of the new property tax the time has come now to see a reduction in the commercial rate. Recent comments from Minister Phil Hogan challenging local authorities to reduce their rates and development charges on businesses, should be acted on immediately.
