Dear Parents,

We are asking for your support in creating a healthier environment for our children by signing a petition to reduce the amount of sugary foods served at Clovelly Public School. Many events run by Clovelly Public School and the P&C currently include high-sugar 'treats' - often delivered as prizes or in celebration of achievements - an approach that undermines positive initiatives such as Crunch&Sip.

Excess sugar can negatively impact students’ focus, energy, health and overall wellbeing. Their school environment should follow the best nutritional practice for their growing bodies and brains. Let's encourage healthier options for birthday baskets and/or non-food prizes/fundraising initiatives at all events. Please join us in supporting this positive change for our kids by adding your name to the petition.

My son is always coming home hyped up after these events. Its way too much sugar for a school day and totally ruins his concentration for the afternoon classes.

Please don’t give the kids sugar at CPS events. There is no need and they don’t need rewards.

Keen to explore alternative treat options!
