We demand the canteen to remove all products of multinational companies, which are high in sugar and salt, from their offer.
Not only are these companies associated with highly unsustainable behaviours, which further enlarge global inequalities, but they also contain high amounts of added sugar and feed into a food environment which is not health promoting.
The Nordic Nutrient Recommendations (2012) state:
Western-type dietary patterns that are characterized by high consumption of processed meats and red meats (i.e., beef, pork, and lamb) and of food products low in essential nutrients but high in added sugar and fat (i.e., foods with high energy density) and high in salt are associated with adverse health effects and chronic diseases.
The EAT-report (Eat-Lancet commission, 2019) concludes that, in order to follow the Planetary Health Diet, the global consumption of sugar has to reduce by 50%.
It is time to act NOW!
The goal is to remove the named items and limit the advertisement of these companies at the Campus.
As an alternative to the current selection we suggest flow-sugar, high-fibre, preferably plant-based snacks and beverages with a low environmental impact. Additionally, we suggest to re-introduce the juicer and to offer plenty of fruit instead.

I spent the morning staring at the vending machine and honestly it is wild that we just accept these options as the only way to get through a day on campus. My inbox is full of people telling me they are tired of feeling sluggish after lunch so please keep talking to your friends because I am currently drafting a formal proposal to the administration and I have a feeling they are going to try to ignore us completely.

I honestly did not think this would gain this much steam so fast because cafeteria politics are usually ignored but here we are. It is wild to see everyone agreeing that we should actually value health over processed convenience and I just need to figure out how to get this in front of the board before they ignore us again.

It is the responsibility of the school to make it easier to choose healthy products. Lets not support multinational companies - please!
I completely agree that candy has no place at KP campus. I do appreciate the little signs by the different dishes in the cantina, but there are far too few healthy plant based options
I really want old canteen back both in Tagensvej and SIG. It was much nutritious before. How we support healthy lifestyle while we are eating junk food? I strongly hope the will be change in canteen.
A shame to see the juicer option gone and there are very few options for healthy alternatives. Plus seeing the candy stand every day in the place of the juicer is a realistic picture of what is happening in society.
KPs "om os" tab says: "Skabe robusthed i forhold til forskydninger i studievalg samt uddannelsespolitiske og bevillingsmæssige forandringer." They should uphold this.
The new canteen has become horrible and expensive. Thats about it.

More vegan options and gluten-free bread…. Please bake your own cakes with some love..... Get some more raw food and organic bars..... what about the juicer??? OMG miss that
