Please reduce class size in kindergarten. This is just the beginning for these kids so let's help them off to a good start!

It is unfair to children and teachers how the classes are currently made up. Ratios should be lowered to 1:10 children.

Reduce the size of the class. Shorten the school day. Get more adults in the classroom. These are babies we are talking about !

Let's think about what is best for the children not about saving $

Children are our future. They deserve the best education and the teachers need to be able to help all the children in their class in a timely fashion.

my kindies class has 30 this year and it looks like the same or more next year. Totally unacceptable. It's not good for kids.

Children need support, with classes that have too many children they all will have different or not as much support because with so many voices some get lost in the crowd.

Children beginning their first experiences in school should be given the opportunity for real learning, which I dont believe can occur in over population the classrooms

The safety and education of our children are at stake here. You can not teach when you are doing crowd control.

I'm a RECE with 26 years in licensed childcare; now in an FDK class. I feel so lucky to be in a class of 23 with a teacher, EA and myself after spending a short time in a class of 31. There are very good reasons why the DNA require minimum sq. ft. per child, 1:10 ratios and two people present when over 5 children for the same age of child. I feel so sorry for the children in those over-packed classes. THAT is NOT Pascal's vision for FDK. It certainly isn't how the FDK programs were initially described and I don't believe it's what parents expect for their 4 year olds.

It's almost a deal breaker for me....it's basically crowd control with a few perks!! Midnight Madness indeed!!

This would be a good start to help kids start life out in a more sane and peaceful learning environment. It makes perfect sense.

I've worked the FDK program for 3 years now, and this year with "only" 25 children had been way more manageable then previous years! The children NEED to come first!

Reduce class sizes in J-K and S-K! At the beginning of a child's experience in the education system, she/he should not be 1/26 but 1/15, 1/12, 1/10! How wonderful to have access to an educator without waiting a turn with 25 others! Reduce class size for our most impressionable children.
