The noise level over 25 is incredible. Also consider that many of us have children in these classrooms with extra needs such Sensory Processing Disorder, ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, or still having issues with the bathroom, etc These little ones need ratios to be lower to receive the extra support. No one wins when the ratios are high.

I teach a class of 27, and I sometimes come home and think, "Was so- and-so at school today? He/She was. Oh grief, I didn't even speak to them. Yikes!" This is not how a child learns that they are loved, respected, and valued. This is how they learn that school is not s place for them. It HAS to change!

My daughter is in Kindergarten with 25 other pupils. Daycare has a much smaller ratio for safety reasons and I do not understand why or how teachers are expected to lead a class with that many children.

Even with ECEs in the classroom, class sizes need to be realistic for optimal learning. And it is a great opportunity to hire the many teachers & ECEs out there who need jobs so they can contribute to our economy.

We need 20 per class to educate our children. We teach ESL, ISP/SST, behaviours, learning challenged, developmentally delayed, autistic as well as all the eager children wanting and needing to learn...let's put the children first!

not sure how people think it's ok to have large numbers in a kindergarten class! For yhe teachers it's all about behaviour control and little academics plus classes like mine, have not been retrofitted to have large number of students. Very crammed! Let's not forget within these classes we have children with special needs.

young children need more attention so a smaller ratio would benefit all the children with a better success rate overall
