This will fix most of the parking problems in the Marina, a two or three story car park will accommodate all islands and their visitors.

Building a bridge to Russell is the obvious solution to the parking issue at Weinham Creek We also support the multi storey car parking it makes sense, but this has gone on for years now & its always so slow to get any results

A multi storey car-park is the only sensible solution for the paling situation. There is no more land available to expand the existing car park. Residents are paying to park in residential yards, such is the shortage of parking. With land for sale on all of the islands, the population in the islands can only increase, and with it an increase in demand for mainland parking. Spending $8m on a glorified bus shelter, replacing the previously functional building, while cosmetic, did not address the real real issues.

8 million on a glorified bus shed? Nothing done about the desperate need of somewhere to park!

The security and safety of the people who pay just the same taxes as others on Mainland and there properties deserve at least better and affordable if not free parking so that damage to there vehicles does not go on. Stop with the political footbal and actually do something to win votes of the people. Improve the car parking now.

I live on Macleay Island and sometimes does a night shift at work. It is very hard to find a car park at night and have to pack in the barge car park. Which I have walk, alone, in the dark to get to my ferry home. So to be to get a decent car park closer to the terminal would be good for and others safety

Double the size of the secured paid parking. Tarseal and line make all parking areas and put up better signage for a start. And put better security as in cctv in place.

Definitely there have to be more parking, find a solution...... maybe a bridge would be the answer to all the problems residents mainland and islands have.

And the parking should be free and there should be long term parking for people who don't work on the mainland and don't use their car as often

Definately need more parking, it's tough finding somewhere to park when you get to the terminal late after finishing work.

We need a bridge, that would sort the parking problem but free multi level car park would be great.

If you can't justify a car park, then do come up with another solution e.g. Car-hiring or sharing service

My wife is a shiftworking nurse at Redlands Emergency. She is forced to park long distances away from the terminal as it is usually always full.
We both hold concerns for her safery when she has finished A/S & has to walk thru dark streets @ 11pm to try to catch the 11:10pm or 12:10 am on a friday or saturday & has on occasions missed the ferry being forced to sleep in her mainland car.
The same concerns are had when she works N/S & has to walk to her car alone @ 10pm @ night.
In the 4 years that we have lived here, the parking has gone from bad to terrible especially on a friday or saturday evening when all parking spots are gone by early afternoon & cars can be seen just wedged in absolutely everywhere. Try driving your car up one of the streets e.g. Outridge Street Redland Bay & see what a safety concern it is with cars parked end to end all the way up the street transforming the road into a one way street with cars obscuring sight at the intersections.
Parking is a nightmare & only getting worse with more & more people moving & building on the islands.

The parking situation is disgusting and dangerous for workers that get home late and have to walk a long way to the ferry
