A multi story car park is needed with security cameras. So hard to find a parking spot . Makes it difficult if visitors or tourists want to come over.

The use the car park gets and the growing population of residents and guests to the Islands should surely justify upgrading the car park.

The Weinam Creek area of Redland Bay looks like a total "dump"!A good tidy up and multistory car park is necessary to make it look presentable to visitors. Surely our Councillors can see this need. It looks as though the Council could not care !! It is a very stressful place to try to park.

This is the 2nd time that I've had friends living on the islands & trying to get parking when visiting has always been a complete & utter nightmare, not to mention what the residents have to go through.
TIME TO FIX & UPGRADE IT !!!

We are tired of being continually fined for just trying to get home. Time that the 'boaies' were moved to barge parking and their car.spaces reconfigured for islanders and their visitors to park there.

Overdue for carparking upgrade to get parked in is a nightmare constantly worrying over it is stressful a bridge would help mitigate so many problems island residents have to face due to councils total lack of responsibility litigation of the council is becoming the only solution they have a duty of care to all redland citizens not just mainland based ones.

All that money spent on the upgrade that doesn't solve any problems. Parking or weather protection! We are weatherproof until the minute we leave the waiting area, then we get hit with rain, wind and spray whenever the weather is bad!!

There is no denying that the gateway to the SMBIs at Redland Bay is a sorry sight even with the welcomed upgrade of the ferry terminal. First impressions certainly help keep safe the allure of the SMBIs.
Whilst parking is the BIG pressing issue there is enormous potential for clever urban planners to make the whole area more functional, beautiful and safer and at the same time make the most of the fact that thousands of people pass through the area on a daily basis. The gateway at Russell Island has the same problems and potential just on a smaller scale.
All solutions to parking need to be scalable (both up and down). A multi story car park should be part of this mix. Perhaps designed to convert to residential or other use if the bridge ever arrives. Perhaps even privately funded so that you would link dedicated mainland parking to property being sold on the islands – just an idea.
