Recurring Outages in Electrical Service Provided by Kentucky Power Company
- As residents of Floyd County, Kentucky, in the KY Route 122 section from the Hi Hat Post Office to the “White Bridge” at Jake Cooley curve section of McDowell, we the undersigned do hereby request clarification as to the reasons for the continual power outages strictly limited to this area and the immediate correction of the deficiencies in Kentucky Power equipment and their response to customer complaints when outages occur.

I am currently talking with local journalists to expose the frequency of these outages on Route 122. Call the Kentucky Power customer service line today and demand a detailed explanation for our chronic equipment failures.

Reaching this level of support confirms that our neighborhood is done waiting for reliable service. Now we need to escalate this pressure so please email your local representative today and demand they push Kentucky Power for a formal explanation.

Power outages for no reason poles in creek ready to fall over trees in power lines
Hold up guys i live in the head of Frasure Creek and when yours go's off so does it up here half of the hollow comes across the hill. But it is a shame we go without it just as much as we have it and as much as we pay for it we should never go with out it and they should have the money to up grade the poles and lines
The electricity has went out 3 times in a month but yet our bill isn't any lower.
I live at 71 Hutchinson lane price ky aka hi hat ky every time the wind blows or it rains hard or just about anything it seems like the ppower goes out ive live in this area for over 20 years and its been this way the power company needs to check all lines or something because its crazy we pay so much for power and they won't fix the problem thats cause our outages for the past 20 years
I've lived here most of my life and it's been an ongoing problem for years-kudos to the men and women having to repair the line all the time- I blame the company for not upgrading
Tired of the power always going off when it rains or the wind blows hard and for no apparent reason.

I live almost to the head of Frasure Creek and when the electric goes out over in Price from a certain point down the holler to the head of Frasure Creek goes out to. We have lost everything in our freezer and fridge the last 3 times it went out, with the amount of money that we pay your company you should have everything fixed year's ago. You need to get the poles that are leaning that's in the creek you need to cut down trees further away from the poles and lines and have the company that does that take away the trees that they cut down instead of just leaving them it. Seriously fed up with it.
