They actually decided to reverse the decision and support the village residents. This win belongs to every one of you who kept pushing when things looked bleak. I am still wrapping my head around this success and will keep a close eye on the transition to ensure they follow through.

I am honestly stunned to see that we have reached one hundred signers. This growth belongs to you and the way you have chosen to look out for our neighbors. It truly humbles me to watch this momentum continue to build.

I checked the count this morning and honestly I am still in shock that 250 people have added their names to this. Seeing this kind of interest in Sanctuary Village is all down to your willingness to keep pushing this forward.

I have been reading through the stories you are sharing and the hardship being faced at Sanctuary Village is truly heartbreaking. Your willingness to speak up keeps me going when the process feels slow. This momentum belongs entirely to the people who refuse to look away.

This is just terrible at any time of year but in winter and at Christmas!! What kind of people govern the City of Rochester?? Call together your Housing Continuum of Care and your social services agencies and DO something to protect the lives and well-being of your most vulnerable citizens.

Why can't we build a place where they can have a chance of life again. A place to sleep but a place to also get help and advice on getting a job and guidance to be able to be on their own again?

These are citizens of the Rochester community. How could you, as their elected leader, allow this to happen? It is a violation of your sworn oath of office. Please rectify this immediately.

When the Mayor made an agreement to allow Sanctuary Village to remain where they were she should have adhered to her contract with them. Rather than giving our taxpayer dollars to wealthy developers she should have found a suitable building and the funds to provide housing for those most in need.

Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony championed the rights of of all people, including society's most vulnerable. They would be outraged at what the city has done in destroying Sanctuary Village, in the shadow of their bridge.
